Drum Major Clinic – Sept 3 & 4, 2022
Sept 3 – 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Sept 4 – 9 a.m. – early afternoon
Cost: FREE

This clinic consists of a full day and a half of instruction on the Role of the Drum Major. Topics and skills covered will include dress, drill, mace, and hand signals – all of which are required to be able to maneuver the band around when on parade. The clinic is open to anyone from complete beginners to those who just want to brush up on current skills. On day two there is a Regimental Drum Major Competition at the Games. This clinic is a great opportunity for Drum Majors to meet and network with others in the same role.
We are excited to welcome back Drum Major Bill O’Donnell of the Surrey Fire Fighters Pipes and Drums to run this event. Last year the clinic was a huge success and a great crowd pleaser. Bill is excited to be returning to Canmore again this year and hopes to see one or two of the clinic participants from last year as well as some new faces for a fun and informative weekend. Register by emailing: info@canmorehighlandgames.ca
