Our colours

The colours chosen for the weaving of our tartan represent the green forests, blue sky and waters of the Bow River, the black coal underground, the white snow-capped mountains, the fuschia mountain wildflowers and the yellow is for sunny Alberta.

The green tartan is heavyweight (18oz) suitable for a mens style kilt, and the white tartan is medium weight (13oz), suitable for ladies kilt-skirts and highland dance kilts/plaids.

These tartans were designed by local weaver Dorothy Garen and registered with the Scottish Register of Tartans.

Please email us if you are interested in purchasing yardage.
