There’s more to the Canmore Highland Games than competition! This 2.5-day celebration is filled with the sights, sounds, flavours and traditions of Scottish and Celtic culture. Cheer on athletes in Highland heavy events, piping and drumming, Scottish Highland dancing and Tug o’ War, and enjoy the impressive sound of pipe bands and massed bands throughout the Games.
Explore the Celtic Market & Clan Village, discover Highland cattle and sheep dog demonstrations, admire British cars and motorcycles, and enjoy Celtic and traditional music throughout the event.
The celebrations begin Friday evening with Taste of the Highlands, featuring craft breweries, distilleries and wineries paired with gourmet appetizers. Saturday night brings a foot-stomping ceilidh, with music and dancing into the evening. And as the Games draw to a close on Sunday, the Hooley wraps up the festivities with one last lively celebration.
